Biography
I was born in the Dominican Republic, naturalized Italian and resident in Switzerland. Passionate about art since I was a child, I am self-taught. I experimented with whatever material was available and was content to paint on paper and canvas; the thing that gave me the most satisfaction was creating, not king of unique and authentic pieces. So one day I came across a piece of plastic canvas in my hands, and my first textile work was born. A work that represented a field of daisies with a rabbit in the foreground. I was 12 years old at the time. I was so proud of the result that I showed my work to everyone. Painting has always been a fundamental part of my life, it was my magical world where I took refuge as a child and still is. For many years I continued to paint with oil, watercolors, pastels, charcoal, textile art and create sculptures. My sources of inspiration are varied, I can see art in everything, nature and its colours; in fact my favorite seasons are spring and autumn which, with their explosion of colours, give me an inexhaustible source of inspiration to create my works. It's like shaping the beauty of a flower on canvas; or with my abstract works with the emotional effects of color itself. My works in general both paintings and wall sculptures are full of colors. I believe that the maximum expression of colors is art and the painter, through colour, speaks of himself, of his state of mind, of his emotions, of his feelings. The colors become his words, the brushstrokes his style and the work his message. Color is his absolute means of expression and communication. Each of its nuances contains a symbolic world that the observer grasps in an empathetic exchange. In 2005 I met the Trentino painter Claudio Abrignani, who led me to the decision to dedicate myself full time to art. For work reasons it wasn't possible for me. Only in 2010, with the aim of improving my techniques, did I start a sculpture course with the professor. Lucia Parma, teacher at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts.
I mainly deal with visual art ranging from painting, sculptures, digital art, floral art, textile art to installation. My artistic path is a continuous search to improve my painting techniques, often experimenting with new techniques and materials.
